It’s like starting the day with a mouthful of creamy (yet fruity and refreshing!) chocolate… Raw cacao fruit is packed with antioxidants and vitamins that will give that much needed energy throughout the day. It’s definitely a MUST to try at least once in your lifetime 😍
Cacao fruit smoothie is the perfect combination of semi-sweet, fruity flavors and SO creamy in texture. A touch of vanilla hints at dessert, and coconut milk makes it heavenly tropical, while cacao fruit is a unique base ingredient that adds a delightful note of fresh chocolate and a mild fruit aftertaste.
Fresh cacao pods are too beautiful to look at, with white flesh membranes hiding the cacao nibs inside!
Ingredients
For the Raw Cacao Fruit Smoothie (will make approximately 2 cups, depending on the size of your cocoa pod) you’ll need:
1 cup coconut milk (or other plant based substitute);
1 Cacao fruit from the whole pod;
1 tbsp of maple syrup;
1 pod of vanilla bean;
Blend everything in a powerful blender (my all times favourite tool is #Vitamix) to make it extra creamy!
